The story of Makeda began in 1995 in Calgary, Alberta. Starting out as a small family business, it has grown steadily to offer its customers the full scope of printing services, including large format offset. Today, Makeda is a proud supplier of Canadian businesses from coast to coast and from a wide range of industries, such as airlines, oil and gas companies, manufacturing plants, and service and retail oriented enterprises.

Dedication to quality and customer service are the underpinnings of Makeda's growth and success. By focusing on 'lean manufacturing' we provide improved value to our customers and can react quickly to their special needs or requests.

With a background in managing large automotive manufacturing facilities, a degree in engineering and an Executive MBA, Makeda's president is fully involved in the day-to-day operation of the company. Makeda's sales manager has over 20 years of management experience with large commercial print companies to assist and advise print buyers with any project, small or large.

In 2007, a publishing division, Makeda Publishing, was added to the print operations. Taking advantage of vertical integration and utilizing the synergy between publishing and print production, Makeda Publishing creates award winning print material for WHMIS and TDG training.
